The civil excavation Lead Hand with pipelayer responsibilities is responsible for leading and supervising the excavation crew, ensuring that all excavation and pipelaying activities are carried out safely and efficiently, and that work is completed on schedule and to the required quality standards. They are responsible for coordinating with other construction professionals, such as project managers and engineers, to ensure that work is completed in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting equipment, materials, and supplies to and from construction sites in a timely and safe manner. They are responsible for maintaining the truck and ensuring that it is in good working order.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Lead Hand)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the excavation industry, with a focus on pipelaying.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications related to excavation and pipelaying.
- Thorough understanding of excavation and pipelaying principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with risk management and quality control.
- Understanding of construction principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Truck Driver)
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
